Academic Product Spotlight – January 2018: BioOne Complete
Each month, WiLS highlights a product to raise awareness of our many group and consortium purchase offerings. We’ll tell you about the offer, about the product and even provide some information that you can drop right into your own newsletters, blogs or websites. This month, we’ll be talking about BioOne Complete from BioOne.
WiLS has a large group purchase for BioOne Complete. The group renews on April 1st with renewal pricing available no later than March 1st. Pro-rated pricing is available to libraries interested in joining the group mid-year.
BioOne is a nonprofit publisher that aims to make scientific research more accessible through a growing portfolio of products. The product encompasses 207 titles from 157 publishers. There are over 140,000 full-text articles and the resource is subscribed to by 1,450 institutions from 48 countries.
Geared toward academic and medical libraries, BioOne Complete is BioOne’s aggregation of more than 200 high quality, subscribed and open-access titles focused on the biological, ecological, and environmental sciences. As such, it’s a great resource for students and faculty in disciplines such as biology, ecology and health sciences. BioOne Complete offers a curated collection of independently-published journals.
BioOne Complete offers an impressive list of platform features including a mobile website, high resolution image zoom, broad citation manager support, RSS feeds and related article searching.
