Gold, Silver, and Bronze Vendor Partners

WiLS Gold, Silver, and Bronze Vendor Partner Program recognizes our vendor partners who are limiting annual price increases to keep their products affordable in the current economic climate of flat or falling library budgets.

Below is a list of our outstanding vendor partners that have kept their yearly price increases for electronic resources at or below 3%.  Gold Vendor Partners have kept their increases at or less than 1%.  Silver Vendor Partners have kept their increases between 1% and 2%.  Bronze Vendor Partners have kept their price increase between 2% – 3%.

    ABOUT THE PROGRAM

WiLS and our members appreciate our vendor partners, and we want to highlight their commitment to being good partners whenever we can. In 2014, the WiLS Cooperative Purchasing Advisory Committee (or CooPAC) approved a new program to highlight our vendor partners who limit their annual price increases to libraries.

Library budgets have been under stress for a number of years. While funding has remained flat or decreased for many of our members, the costs of materials and personnel continue to increase. As a result, the CooPAC has issued the following statement about price increases:

The Libraries that are members of WiLS represent academic, K12, public, and special libraries in the state of Wisconsin, a population of 5.7 million people with an additional 200,000 full-time students in the state during the academic year. In the current economic climate of flat budgets, we cannot continue to accept increases that exceed 3% annually. Higher annual rates will result in libraries canceling subscriptions. We hope you keep this in mind when pricing your products for our members.

To support this statement, and to recognize our vendor partners who are limiting annual price increases, we have created the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Vendor Partner Program.
