WiLS’ Sara Gold Authors Article About the Wisconsin Schools Digital Library Consortium

“The equity through access that WSDLC is delivering to Wisconsin schools that were previously unable to provide ebooks and audiobooks to their students is the greatest achievement thus far of WSDLC.”

Sara Gold, WiLS New Business Development and Consortia Manager, has just penned an article for the March 2024 edition of Computers in Libraries on her work supporting the collaborative effort that is the Wisconsin Schools Digital Library Consortium (WSDLC), a self-sustaining, member-funded digital library of ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, and comics that serves more than 425,000 students at the affordable cost of $1.65 per student.

Beginning with a spark of an idea in 2015 and launching officially in 2018, there are now over 280 school districts participating and the Library serves nearly half of all school-aged children in Wisconsin.
