Hans Baierl, WiLS’ New Board Member

August 10, 2020 WiLS staff
Headshot of Hans Baierl

We are excited to welcome Hans Baierl, Library Services Coordinator at Moraine Park Technical College, to our Board!

Hans grew up in Kenosha and gravitated to the public library where he discovered the joy of the right book at just the right time. He majored in humanities at UW-Parkside and then earned an MLIS at UW-Milwaukee. After graduation, Hans held a variety of roles at public libraries in Baytown, Texas, and in Watertown, Wisconsin and he also served on the Horicon Public Library Board. Since 2010, Hans has been the Library Services Coordinator at Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac, overseeing libraries at three campuses as well as some of MPTC’s testing services, most notably the GED and Pearson VUE testing. In his free time, Hans is dedicated to his garden full of native perennials, shrubs, and trees and he enjoys a compelling memoir.

“I’m honored to represent the technical colleges on the WiLS Board, and look forward to learning more about WiLS and other libraries and sharing how the technical college libraries serve our students and faculty.”

Thanks for your service, Hans!
